Okay, here is the story about my bachelorette party upstate New York:
So, my best friend was getting hitched, and it was my duty as the maid of honor to throw her the most epic bachelorette party ever. We decided to head upstate New York because, well, it’s gorgeous, and there’s so much to do. We started brainstorming and ended up with a list a mile long. But hey, more options, right?
First, I booked this awesome big house through a rental website. It had a huge living room, a big kitchen, and a backyard that was perfect for some outdoor fun. We were a group of eight, so I made sure there were enough beds for everyone.
Next up, I started looking into activities. I found out that there are a bunch of cool places like Bear Mountain Spa and Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa. They have these beautiful grounds, and you can do all sorts of stuff during the day. We thought about just chilling at a spa, you know, getting massages and facials, the whole nine yards.
But then, we also stumbled upon these local classes. I’m talking paint and sip, pottery, and even cooking classes! We figured, why not learn something new and have a few laughs while we’re at it? I reached out to a few places to get the details and see if they could accommodate our group.
I also did a ton of grocery shopping. There’s this wholesale club that I love, and it is a gem if you are planning something like this. I knew we would be doing a lot of eating and drinking, so I stocked up on snacks, drinks, and all the ingredients for a big brunch we planned to make together. It was great to have everything on hand, and the prices there were a steal.
- Checked out spas like Bear Mountain and Buttermilk Falls
- Found local paint and sip, pottery, and cooking classes
- Stocked up on food and drinks from a wholesale place
After a ton of planning and back-and-forth with the group, we finally settled on a mix of relaxation and fun activities. We booked a spa day, signed up for a pottery class (which was hilarious, by the way), and spent the rest of the time just hanging out at the house, playing games, and catching up.
It was a blast, and the bride had the time of her life. That’s what matters, right? We created so many memories, and it was the perfect way to send her off into married life.
The Final Plan
- Book a big rental house with enough space for everyone
- Schedule a spa day for relaxation
- Sign up for a fun, local class like pottery or cooking
- Plan for meals and snacks – wholesale club shopping is a must
- Leave some downtime for just hanging out and enjoying each other’s company
Mission accomplished! Bachelorette party was a success.
