Okay, so I’ve been digging into this game, Darktide, right? And I’m all about customizing my characters, making them look badass. But I was totally lost on how to actually get new cosmetics. Like, where do you even find the darn shop?
First off, I started messing around in the game, just playing normally. Turns out, you can actually get some cosmetics just by leveling up and progressing. They call it “progress cosmetics.” Pretty straightforward, you play the game, you get rewarded. Nothing too crazy, but it’s a start.
But then I stumbled upon something called “Penances.” These are like in-game challenges or achievements. If you complete them, you get points, and these points can be used on something called the “Path of Redemption.” It’s kinda like a skill tree but for cosmetics. I spent a good chunk of time grinding these Penances just to see what I could unlock. It’s a bit of a grind, but hey, some of the stuff you get is pretty neat.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. There’s a place called the “Armory Exchange.” You can buy some basic cosmetics there using in-game currency called “Ordo Dockets.” You earn these by just playing the game, completing missions, and stuff. I managed to snag a few decent items from there, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. The selection seemed pretty limited, and I was craving something more unique.
That’s when I discovered the “Commodore’s Vestures.” This is the premium store, the real deal. You need a special currency called “Aquilas” to buy stuff here. And guess what? You gotta buy Aquilas with real money. Yeah, I know, microtransactions and all that. But honestly, some of the cosmetics in this shop are seriously cool. I was tempted, not gonna lie.
Here’s the kicker: the items in the Commodore’s Vestures rotate. So, if you see something you like, you gotta grab it before it’s gone. But don’t worry too much, they do come back eventually. It’s just a matter of waiting and checking the store regularly. I’ve seen some pretty awesome stuff, and I finally give in and buy some Aquilas after all.
