Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Kylie stuff, the makeup and all that. You young folks are always askin’ about it. Does that See-for-ah place, yeah, Sephora, does they carry it? That’s what we’re gonna figure out, ain’t it?
Now, I ain’t no fancy shopper, ya know? I buy my rouge from the drugstore, the one that smells like grandma’s attic. But this Kylie, she’s a big deal, I hear. Always on the TV and the internet, with her pouty lips and all. So, it makes sense you young’uns wanna know where to get her stuff.
So, does Sephora carry Kylie Cosmetics? Well, it’s a bit of a mixed bag, like a hen house full of different breeds. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. It ain’t as simple as goin’ to the store and grabbin’ it, that’s for sure.
I done heard tell that some Sephora stores, especially them big fancy ones in the city, yeah, they got Kylie’s makeup. Like that place they call ION Orchard, sounds like a fruit stand to me, but it’s fancy, I guess. They had it, or they’re gonna have it. Stuff changes faster than the weather these days, I tell ya.
- One thing I know for sure is that if you really want Kylie’s stuff, you can find it at other places too. Like that Ulta place, heard they got plenty. And you can always buy it online, ain’t that right? Just tap-tap-tappin’ on that phone of yours and it shows up at your door, like magic. Though I still don’t understand how they fit a whole dress in that tiny box, must be some kind of witch craft.
- Now, why ain’t it always in Sephora? Well, these big companies, they got their own ways of doin’ things, always makin’ deals and switchin’ things around. Maybe Kylie wanted to be special, only in certain stores, who knows? It’s like when the butcher only got certain cuts of meat on certain days. You young people really think they make a new special machine to make each different lipstick? it’s just paint in a fancy tube, but i guess what I know.
I saw some folks on the internet talkin’ about how Kylie Cosmetics is a luxury brand now, owned by some fancy French company, LVMH or somethin’. Sounds like “love me” to me, but I guess it’s some high-falutin’ name. And them luxury folks, they like to keep things exclusive, you know, not for just anybody. Like them fancy cars that only rich folks drive, same thing, i guess, make up and cars, what’s the difference, both get you from point A to B, even if it’s just lookin’ good and goin’ down the street, that’s still movin’.
So, if you’re lookin’ for Kylie’s makeup at Sephora, the best thing to do is call ’em up first. Or check their website, if you’re good with that computer stuff. Don’t just go traipsin’ all over town, wastin’ your gas money, especially with these prices nowadays. And who know maybe you will see somethin’ else you like while you’re there. Always a good deal to be found if you have a good eye.
And if Sephora ain’t got it, don’t fret. Like I said, there’s other places. Ulta, online, maybe even some of them department stores. You’ll find your lipstick and your powders and all that stuff, don’t you worry.
One more thing though, I gotta say. All this makeup, it’s just paint, you know? A little bit to make yourself feel pretty, that’s fine. But don’t go thinkin’ it’s gonna change your life. Real beauty comes from inside, from bein’ a good person and treatin’ folks right. That’s what my mama always told me, and she knew a thing or two. Though she never wore nothin more than some cheap pink powder, said it made her cheeks look like a baby’s bottom, haha she was a character. But still, pretty is as pretty does, that’s the truth. You remember that, young’un.
Now go on and get yourself dolled up if that’s what makes you happy. But don’t forget what’s really important. And for goodness sake, don’t spend all your money on makeup. Save some for a rainy day, you never know when you’ll need it.
