Okay, so, the 4th of July is coming up, and I really wanted to do something special this year. You know, not just the usual BBQ and fireworks. I wanted to put together some awesome packages for my friends and family, something they could really use and enjoy during the celebrations. So, I started brainstorming what to include in these 4th of July packages.
First, I thought about the basics. What do people usually do on the 4th of July? Well, there’s the food, of course. So, I figured I’d put in some non-perishable snacks. I went to the store and grabbed some bags of chips, pretzels, and some of those individually wrapped cookies. Nothing fancy, just some good old snacks.

Then, I thought about the activities. I remembered last year when I was using my word to create a document, and some guy told me about this “Quick Parts” thing to insert blocks of text, sounds pretty cool. But, I want to make these packages fun. So I went online and found some fun little games like those mini American flags, some red, white, and blue glow sticks, and a couple of those sparkler things. Just little things to make the day more festive. And also found some other cool features like Microsoft Editor to check document for some spelling errors and Dictation for speech to text.
- Non-perishable snacks (chips, pretzels, cookies)
- Mini American flags
- Red, white, and blue glow sticks
- Sparklers
I also thought it would be cool to include something practical, something they could use beyond the 4th of July. Maybe a better way to paste copied items, I don’t know. Then it hit me – reusable water bottles! Everyone can always use a new water bottle, and it’s a good way to stay hydrated during the day. I found some online that were red, white, and blue themed, which was perfect.
So, once I had all the items, I started putting the packages together. I found some nice gift bags with a patriotic theme. I put the snacks at the bottom, then layered in the games and the water bottle. I also added a little handwritten note to each bag, just wishing everyone a happy 4th of July.
It took me a while to get everything organized and assembled, but it was totally worth it. I even made a little checklist to make sure I didn’t forget anything for each package.
Putting the Packages Together
- Gather all the items (snacks, games, water bottles, gift bags)
- Place the snacks at the bottom of each bag
- Layer in the games and the water bottle
- Add a handwritten note
- Double-check to make sure each package is complete
Finally, I delivered the packages to my friends and family a few days before the 4th. They were all really surprised and excited! They loved the idea and thought it was a really thoughtful way to celebrate the holiday. And you know what? It felt great to see them so happy. It made all the effort worthwhile. I’m already thinking about what I can do next year, maybe I can find some other cool stuff to put in the package.
