Alright, so the other day I was thinking, “Is it weird to go to the beach alone?” I mean, we always see groups of friends or families at the beach, right? But sometimes, you just want to enjoy the sun and the waves without having to coordinate with anyone. So, I decided to give it a shot and document my solo beach adventure.
Getting Ready
First things first, I packed my beach bag. Sunscreen? Check. Towel? Check. A good book? Check. Headphones? Check. I made sure I had everything I needed for a day of relaxation. I put on my swimsuit, grabbed my flip-flops, and headed out the door. I drove to the beach, feeling a bit self-conscious, but also kind of excited.
Setting Up
Once I got there, I found a nice spot a bit away from the crowd. I spread out my towel, applied a generous amount of sunscreen, and just sat there for a moment, taking in the scene. The sound of the waves crashing was so soothing. I felt a bit awkward at first, not gonna lie, looking around and seeing everyone in groups. But then I thought, “Who cares?” I’m here to enjoy myself.
Activities
-
Go for a Walk: I started with a walk along the shoreline. The sand was firmer down by the water, making it easier to walk. I strolled, picking up seashells and watching the waves. It was so peaceful.
-
Reading: After my walk, I settled down with my book. I must have spent a couple of hours just reading and occasionally looking up to enjoy the view. It was great to get lost in a story with the sound of the ocean as my background music.
-
Jogging: Later in the afternoon, I decided to go for a jog. Running on the beach is quite a workout, let me tell you! But it felt amazing to be out there, just me and the sea.
-
Relaxing: I spent the rest of the day just lying on my towel, listening to music, and napping in the sun. It was pure bliss. I didn’t have to worry about anyone else’s schedule or preferences.
Reflection
So, is it weird to go to the beach alone? Not at all! It turned out to be one of the most relaxing days I’ve had in a long time. I got to do everything at my own pace, without any distractions. It was a great way to recharge and enjoy some quality “me time.” Plus, I realized that nobody really cares if you’re alone at the beach. Everyone is there to enjoy themselves, just like you. I even felt a sense of freedom and independence that I hadn’t expected. Honestly, I might make this a regular thing. If you’ve ever thought about going to the beach alone, just do it. You might be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
