Okay, so this weekend, I decided to take a little trip to Connecticut. It wasn’t anything fancy, just a quick getaway to clear my head. I started by thinking, where do I want to go, I picked a direction – eastward!
Hitting the Road
First, I packed a bag. Nothing crazy, just some clothes, toiletries, and my trusty camera. I wanted to capture some memories, you know? Then I gassed up the car and made sure I had some good tunes for the drive. Good music is essential for any road trip, am I right?

Finding a Place to Crash
I didn’t have a solid plan, honestly. I booked a motel. It wasn’t anything to write home about, was clean, and had a bed. That’s all I needed, I wanted to explore.
Exploring the Area
- First Stop: I found this cute little town. Walked around, checked out some local shops. I love seeing what unique things small towns have to offer.
- Lunch Time: Grabbed a sandwich at a local deli. Nothing beats a good, simple sandwich.
- Afternoon Adventure: I did some antique searching. And found some interesting history.
Dinner and a Show (Sort Of)
For dinner, I wasn’t feeling anything fancy, so I just went to a diner. Got a burger and fries, classic diner food. Afterward, I just drove around and saw the sea and sunset. It was relaxing, just what I needed.
Wrapping Up
The next day, I had a quick breakfast at the motel, packed up my stuff, and hit the road again. I took a different route home, just to see some new scenery. Overall, it was a super chill weekend. Didn’t do anything groundbreaking, but it was nice to get away and recharge.
