Okay, folks, let’s talk about my recent quest for the perfect weekend getaway in the Northeast US.
First, I brainstormed some ideas. I knew I wanted somewhere within driving distance – no airport hassles for me! I craved a mix of nature and maybe a cute town or two. I opened up my laptop and started poking around, a little directionless, I am not going to lie!

The Search Begins
My initial searches were all over the place. So the first thing I did was use google map to find all possible area.
- Some places I could go are New York, Boston, Philadelphia…
- Then I searched through some travel blogs, and even checked out some of my friends’ social media.
Narrowing it Down
I realized I needed to be more specific. I decided on a few non-negotiables:
- Must be within a 5-hour drive.
- Must have some hiking options.
- Must have at least one decent bakery. (Priorities, people!)
With these in mind, I went back to my research. I looked into things I had collect before.
Making the Choice (and the Plan)
After a few more hours of going through my options, I finally landed on the plan. Then the plan was set!
The Getaway!
When the day came, I packed my bag, grabed my friend, and hit the road!
When we arrived, we enjoyed the views!

It was just what I needed – a little escape, some fresh air, and, of course, a delicious pastry (or two). 10/10, would recommend!
