Okay, so today was all about figuring out the best combo of sweatpants and shoes. Sounds kinda dumb, I know, but hear me out!
It all started this morning. I woke up, feeling super lazy, and the only thing I wanted to wear was sweatpants. But, I also needed to run some errands. So, the big question: which shoes do I wear with sweatpants without looking like I completely gave up on life?

The Experiment
First, I grabbed my favorite pair of gray joggers. They’re kinda slim-fit, not too baggy. My first thought was sneakers, obviously.
- I tried on my white canvas sneakers. Eh, too basic, felt like I was trying too hard to be casual.
- Next, I put on some chunky running shoes. Nope. Way too bulky, looked like I was about to hit the gym, which was definitely NOT the vibe.
- Then it was my black, low-profile trainers. Better! The color matched the casual mood, and they weren’t too flashy.
But I wasn’t totally sold. So, I dug deeper into my closet.
- I found my slip-on sneakers. I slipped them on. Hmm, surprisingly okay! They were comfy and the look was pretty clean.
The Result
After trying on like, five different pairs of shoes, I ended up going with the black, low-profile trainers,or slip-on * felt like the best balance of comfort and not looking like a total * the gray joggers are great!
The whole thing took longer than it should have, but hey, now I know! Next time I’m rocking the sweatpants-and-errands look, I’ve got my go-to shoe choice down.
