Okay, so I wanted to find some really pretty spots in Dallas for photos. I’m not a pro photographer or anything, just someone who likes taking nice pictures for my Instagram and stuff.
Scouting Locations
First, I looked up some ideas online. I just Googled “best photo spots Dallas” and a bunch of articles and blog posts popped up. I also checked out Instagram, searching hashtags like #DallasPhotography and #DallasPhotoSpots.

My Trip Details
Then, I actually went out to explore! I picked a Saturday, hoping for good weather. I made a list of places I wanted to check out and mapped them out so I could hit them all efficiently.
- Started with Klyde Warren Park. It’s got that cool view of the skyline, plus the food trucks and people walking around add some life to the photos.
- Headed over to the Dallas Arboretum next. It’s massive, so I just focused on the areas with the most flowers in bloom. The colors were amazing!
- Stopped by Deep Ellum, it has a cool and fashional vibe.I found and took lots of photos there.
- Finished up at White Rock Lake. I wanted to catch the sunset there, and it didn’t disappoint. The light reflecting off the water was perfect.
Taking the Pictures
At each spot, I walked around a bit to find the best angles. I played with different perspectives, like getting down low or finding a higher vantage point. I also tried to pay attention to the lighting. Like, in the Arboretum, I looked for areas where the sunlight was filtering through the trees – it created some really neat effects.
The Results
Honestly, I took way more photos than I needed, but that’s okay! I ended up with some really good shots. I edited them a little bit on my phone, just adjusting the brightness and contrast, and I’m super happy with how they turned out. It was a fun day of exploring, and I got some awesome pictures to show for it!
